This class series will take the concepts from this week’s Fundamentals class to the next level. While continually reviewing and refining those basics, we can create new patterns by taking our fundamentals and playing with the timing, shape, direction, foot placement, style, etc. The class titles will remain the same, but the content will be more intermediate. To join this class, you must have completed all nine weeks of the Fundamentals series (usually, it takes more than once) or have equivalent knowledge (please contact me to see if this class is a good fit for you).
Each class kicks off with a 30-minute practice and warm-up session, which coincides with the participants of the Fundamentals class’s practice time. This is followed by an hour of focused instruction starting at 3:30. Creating a safe and welcoming space is our top priority, so please read the code of conduct before attending.
In the full series, we will explore passes (week 1), pushes (week 2), the triple rhythm (week 3), whips (week 4), starters and throw-outs (week 5), Tucks (week 6), Spins & Turns (week 7), Quality of Movement (week 8), and Musicality (week 9). For the last three weeks of this series, you are strongly encouraged to have attended a few of the previous classes or have some experience.
Registration is optional but strongly encouraged as details are always subject to change. Please reach out to me to let me know you are coming.
$15 per class
If you are taking Fundamentals for the second, third, fourth, etc. time, they are $10 per class. The content of the Fundamentals is designed to pair well with Next Steps.
